  • You don’t need to bring anything special — just arrive ready to relax. To make your treatment easier and more comfortable:

    • Hair tied back if possible
    • Jewellery removed
    • Comfortable clothing (sportswear or loose clothing)

This helps ensure we can access the areas being treated and allows the session to flow smoothly.

  • Both treatment approaches aim to reduce pain, improve movement, and support recovery.

    Sports massage
    • Focuses on muscles used in physical activity
    • Helps with tightness, recovery, and performance
    • Ideal for runners, gym-goers, and active lifestyles

    Remedial massage
    • Focuses on treating injuries and chronic muscular issues
    • Addresses postural problems or ongoing pain

Many techniques overlap, and your treatment will always be tailored to your individual needs.

  • Sports massage can sometimes feel deep or intense, especially if muscles are tight or sensitive.

    However:

    • Treatments are always adjusted to your comfort level
    • Communication is encouraged throughout the session
    • Soreness after treatment is normal

Occasionally bruising can occur, depending on how deep we are working and how sensitive is area is but most people feel more loose and more mobile afterwards.

  • Sports massage works by:

    • Releasing tight muscles
    • Improving blood flow
    • Reducing muscular tension
    • Increasing mobility and flexibility

By improving the condition of the muscles and surrounding tissue, your body can move more freely and comfortably — whether you’re exercising, working, or just going about daily life.

  • Alongside hands-on massage techniques, we may also use:

    IASTM tools
(Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilisation – sometimes called scraping). These help break down scar tissue and release tight fascia.

    Percussion therapy
A percussion device that helps stimulate blood flow, reduce tension, and relax muscles. These tools are optional and always used appropriately depending on your treatment needs.

  • Not at all. Sports massage is helpful for anyone experiencing:

    • Muscle tension
    • Neck or shoulder pain
    • Desk related stiffness
    • Reduced mobility

You don’t need to be an athlete to benefit from treatment.
